DIY house but with a solid foundation and a view of over 1.000m²
It is not a big house and maybe that is a good thing because it requires quite a bit of work. On the other hand, it has a very nice view. The new owner of this house will therefore have to make a difficult choice every day: “Do you want to do some work today or enjoy the view?” Fortunately, there are 24 hours a day so both could be possible.
Basically it is a solid house; it has been there for over 100 years and has been used as a holiday home. A start has been made with the renovation, the roof has been replaced and frames, doors and velux windows are already there to be installed. But much remains to be done as there is no toilet and no shower room. The house contains a kitchen with fireplace, tiled floors and beamed ceiling, as well as a room that could serve as a bathroom with toilet. Also here the stairs should be placed to the floor that could serve as a bedroom. At the house is still the space that was partly used for the bread oven. There is a cellar under the house.
As mentioned, a lot has to be done, but it is a place with potential. The spacious 1.200m² garden is largely behind and next to the house and offers a view over the valley of the Aron and the hills of the Morvan. The Canal de Nivernais is one kilometre away and guarantees walking and cycling trips on flat land.
All in all, a home where you, even as a starting do-it-yourselfer, can indulge yourself and also enjoy a beautiful view and walks in the area.
